Dive Computer Mares Genius
The Genius Scuba Dive Computer is a versatile tool enabling management of Trimix and Nitrox dives with gas changes. It receives data from five high-pressure probes, facilitating integrated gas supply management to optimize bottom and decompression times based on remaining gas. Utilizing the advanced ZH-L16C Decompression Algorithm with 16 fabrics and differentiated ascent speeds based on altitude, it offers customizable Gradient Factor for decompression and selectable deep stop parameters to limit micro bubble formation.
Featuring a scratch-resistant tempered mineral glass color display, the 2.7-inch diagonal backlit screen provides three horizontal data zones with two bands for foreground data. The display's resolution is QVGA 320 x 240, presenting 256,000 colors at a brightness of 420 cd/m2.
It operates in two modes: Diving and Gauge-Bottom Timer. In Dive Mode, it supports Trimix and Nitrox diving, displaying crucial dive data including depth, time, temperature, and decompression calculations for up to five gas mixtures. The predictive gas change mode indicates gas change nearing the switch altitude. With optional high-pressure probes, it monitors gas consumption for optimized times and gas supply.
The Genius accommodates diving up to 3,700m, calculating decompression and providing customizable audible and visual alarms. In Depth Meter-Bottom Timer Mode, it displays pressure data, compass, average depth, and resettable stopwatch.
The Planner Mode simulates decompression for multiple dives and sets surface intervals. It connects via Bluetooth to the Mares or MySSI App for logbook data and firmware updates on smart devices (Bluetooth not compatible with PC/MAC for data transfer).
Additionally, the Genius includes a clip and USB cable for logbook data download and firmware updates. Using the Mares Dive Organizer Program (PC) with the dedicated Genius clip and cable, data can be transferred between the Genius and the Dive Organizer Program.
